Branson's Landing

Here are a few pictures of the fountain from Branson's Landing. I shot a video but haven't been able to figure out how to upload it so once I do I will get it loaded for you to view.

You can see Rachel and Justin sitting in the middle watching the fountain up close.

Dogwood Canyon

Dogwood Canyon was absolutely beautitful. It was a quite expensive but it was very beautiful and I am glad that we decided to go check it out thanks to my fellow photographers at mpix who live in Springfield, MO. I am sure that I didn't do these waterfalls justice but I didn't bring
my tripod on our vacation so these were hand held.

this was a church on the premises and they do weddings there all the time. I would love to shoot a wedding in this place...the pictures would be gorgeous!

the Elk in the pond on the right actually looks like Rachel..always stickin her tongue out (:

They had hummingbird feeders a long the store. I wish I would have boughten and extender so
I could have gotten a closer and clearer shot!

Added 2 photos to the last post

I am not sure what the problem is but these two won't post right n the last thread.
this is the rock Justin kept and brought home...

Branson at Night- 06/18/09

We went to Shoney's and ate their breakfast buffet and then drove over to Table Rock State Park and hiked a trail down to the water where Justin and Rachel could have stayed all day long throwing rocks into the lake. Rachel found a cool rock and Justin begged and begged
for her not to throw it because he wanted to bring it home.
She gave in and gave it to him and it is now sitting in our flowerbed out front.
Rachel wanted me to take a shot of her throwing her rock and as you can see it was in mid air.
After our hike and dragging the kids away from the lake we went to the
fish hatchery to meet up with my sister and her family. It was so hot outside that we didn't
stay outside very long. After we parted ways we went back to the hotel for a swim
and then met back up with them and had a cook out.
I wanted to drive back into Branson to take some shots of the city at night at the top
of table rock. I thought they turned out pretty cool, especially the castle at the
top of the hill.

A Few More From Lake Taneycomo

I like this shot..it was taken while we were cruising back to the dock

An action shot of another boat zooming past us

Fishing on Lake Taneycomo 06/17/09

After taking the Ride the Duck tour we followed Jen and Frank to their place. Man are there some really really curvy roads on the way to where they were staying.
They were about 10 minutes from us so it wasn't too bad.
After having a cookout, hamburger and hotdogs, Frank took Adam, Justin, Rachel and I out on his boat for about a 2 hour fishing adventure on Lake Taneycomo.
I don't fish so I just took a lot of pictures and soaked up the sun it was 93 degrees the
whole time we were in Missouri on our trip.

The kids started pointing out the window and I had just enough time to get this one shot of a woodpecker out the window. I wish I would have bought and extender before we left for our trip.

A lovely looking spider web under the deck of where Jen and Frank were staying
Adam and Justin were the first to catch a fish almost immediately after throwing in the pole

It was a little one so we let it go...we actually let all of them go
The Lake was so beautiful...even though it smelt really bad-fishy. I shot this with my fisheye.
Rachel caught the biggest fish on the smallest pole it was a spongebob fishing pole
She was really admiring her fish and was so excited that she caught the biggest one!

There were a bunch of great blue herons nesting in the trees. Could have used an extender!
Rachel was tired and put her feet up on the edge of the boat...I thought it made for a cute picture

I have a few more that I have to add borders to so I will post those a little later.

Ride the Ducks 06/17/09

Today we went on the Ride the Ducks ride. It was about a 70 minute tour through the Table Rock section. We saw alot of interesting sites while on this ride and everyone seemed to do really well. The kids loved Captain Stretch and the noisy duck blowers, but the best part was when we drove right into the lake they loved it!
Captain Stetch had us test out our quackers...

Lexie was the only one of our group that wanted to drive the boat while we were in the water

You can barely see but along the bottom edge are a bunch of military vehicles they look like
tiny toys compared to the mountain side.

Bella was trying out her quaker (:
